Discovering Your Passion

Do you know what you are most passionate about in your life?

Discovering what you are passionate about is something worth investing your time, focus and attention to. Doing what you truly love to do and engaging in something that is in alignment with your values for life has top-line priority.

You have to be aware of the fact that you are unique! There is no one on this planet just like you. You have unique gifts and talents and it is your birthright to let your light, to let your passion shine out to the world.

Life is magical. However statistics show that 4 out of 5 people on average are not happy, fulfilled or passionate in their lives.

How Can You Discover Your Passion?

Here are my 4 Simple Steps:

  1. Who are you? Who do you want to BE?
  2. What are your personal strengths? What do you love to do?
  3. What are your values? What is your definition of success?
  4. Why do you do what you love to do?

Be the vessel and say yes to life!  Discover your passion by giving answer to the four questions above. I will guide you with my own example.

Follow My Example

1. Who are you? Who do you want to BE?

Take a look at your life and the way you want to interact with people. What do you want to give and experience with people?

In my own case, my own example I want to be first and foremost:

  • Compassionate
  • Helpful
  • Supportive
  • Wise
  • Caring
  • Giving
  • Understanding

How about you? How do you show up with other people? Write this down.

2. What are your personal strengths? What do you love to do?

What activities deliver you joy and happiness and you have no problem engaging in? This is probably something which you could do without ever stopping or getting enough of. This is where you feel that you have a talent or a gift for.

In my own case, my personal strengths lie in:

  • Writing
  • Learning
  • Exploring New Terrain
  • Responsibility
  • Perseverance
  • Organized
  • Consequent

Write down your own answers to this question about your personal strengths.

  1. What are your values? What is your definition of success?

Who do you want to be present for? Who do you want to receive the benefits of your passion?

Is it:

  • Your Family Members
  • Specific Social Circles (name them: co-workers, colleagues, neighbors, your local community, the world etc.)

Define your own values:  For e.g.:

  • I Respect People
  • Everyone is special
  • There is no right or wrong
  • There is no superior or inferior
  • We are all ONE
  1. Why do you do what you love to do?

I will formulate my own answer here and you can craft your own version by following this blueprint:

I love to do what I love to do because:

  • I want to empower women reach their full potential in life by being happy and fulfilled
  • I want women to find their own passion and purpose in life
  • I want women to find their own definition for success
  • I want to point out everyone´s uniqueness and accentuate their birthright to be happy

Crafting Your Passion Statement

  1. Name How You want to Be: in my example; I want to BE compassionate, wise, caring and supportive
  2. Name Your Strengths: in my example, my strengths are writing and learning.
  3. Name Your Values: in my example, I value to help women feel special and unique
  4. Purpose for Your Passion: in my example, I want to help women accentuate their birthright to be happy

My Passion Statement

My passion is to develop online products and write books (this is how I fulfill my desire to be wise and supportive)

My passion is to give advice, guidance and mentoring to women (this is how I utilize my strengths of writing, learning, being organized and consequent)

My passion is to make women feel special and unique

My passion is to share my life-experience with women (this is how I prove to be perseverant and responsible)

I want to make women feel special and unique by giving my advice, guidance and mentoring to therm. I commit to developing online products and writing books as well as sharing my life-experience with women.

With this I want everyone to realize how unique and special they are and that everyone on this planet has a birthright to be happy.

Hello, Ginger. Thanks for an insightful post into discovering our passions in life, which I’ve just bookmarked by the way 😀 It’s not until we find our passion, that we also discover our purpose in life! I found my passion and purpose, and it’s helping other people to get what they want out of life.
